35 Years Crafting Island Sanctuaries
35 Years Crafting Island Sanctuaries
Three Decades, One Vision
Three Decades, One Vision
Your Hawaii residence should be a sanctuary, not a project. Yet many find themselves coordinating contractors across time zones, deliberating over finishes during business hours, and questioning why island construction commands premium investment.
Archipelago Home was founded on a singular principle: discerning clients deserve a partner who understands both exceptional design and Hawaiian logistics. Where others see complexity, we see our domain of expertise.
Archipelago Home represents the culmination of founder Tiare Pinto's 35-year mastery of Hawaiian residential design. What began as TCB Island Interiors evolved through Slipcovers etc. and Designs By Tiare, each venture deepening her expertise in island living.
In 2007, Tiare unified her practice with Studio Becker, forming Archipelago Hawaii—a full-service atelier collaborating with Hawaii's finest architects, engineers, and craftsmen to create exceptional residences from foundation to furnishing.
Today, Archipelago Home channels three and a half decades of intimate knowledge into every project. We've cultivated relationships with the island's premier artisans, mastered climate-specific materials, and refined the complexities of Hawaiian construction into seamless execution.
Whether reimagining an existing estate or commissioning a ground-up residence, you define the vision—we orchestrate every detail. From
architectural collaboration through the final placement of curated art and commissioned linens, Archipelago Home transforms your concept into a fully realized island sanctuary.
"Exceptional residences require exceptional expertise. We orchestrate every detail so you never compromise your time or vision."
"Exceptional residences require exceptional expertise. We orchestrate every detail so you never compromise your time or vision."
The distinction between competent design and exceptional execution lies in intimate knowledge of place. Hawaii's unique logistics, extended maritime shipping, specialized permitting, climate-specific materials, demand expertise that transcends aesthetic vision.

"They make design seem easy... and it absolutely is not. Wonderful to have a team like Archipelago Home to help you navigate your home design projects! Highly recommend you meet with them!"
Katrina Galvan
Luxury Property Manager, Oahu, 2023
"We love working with Archipelago Home! Tiare and Ola are wonderful to work with. Every home has something different that makes it special and the Archipelago Home Team really know how to capture the best parts of a home. From the moment we take on a new project they are available to navigate the initial design. From conception they execute the project with great attention to details, new vs vintage vs reupholstering furnishings, artwork and accessories carefully selected, as well as their own personal design craftsmanship when needed (you know those tough to find on island or on hand specialty items)."

"She made our dreams come true. Archipelago Home is incredible! We are absentee owners and were only able to visit the project every six weeks or so. Tiare handled the entire project from start to finish: the design, furnishings, accessories... everything! She made the project easy and stress-free. And now we have a beautiful vacation home to relax in! She made our dreams come true and we are beyond appreciative."

"We love the results! Tiare and her team did an excellent job with design, furnishings, art and accessories for our new beach house. She was very professional, great to work, offered fantastic ideas and solutions to all aspects of the project."

"I'd recommend Tiare to anyone doing a project in the Hawaiian Islands My goal in buying an older 2BD/2BA on the Gold Coast was to completely redo all windows, furnishing, fixtures, walls, lighting and art work. Living in CA and having this as a second home, it looked overwhelming, until I met Tiare. Tiare has a stellar reputation. She took the ball and, with her team, got my project over the goal line timely and in style. Her communication was immediate and progress reports were detailed. I would recommend Tiare and her company to anyone doing a project in the Hawaiian Islands."
Larison Clark

They've been in the business a long time and this is clear given the spot-on recommendations, contacts and knowledge that come from long experience."

She was very helpful in finding contractors who got the jobs needed completed timely and professionally. I am very pleased with our refresh and will call Tiare next time I need any interior design work! Mahalo!"

"Their work speaks for itself. Our home is located in beautiful Kailua, beachside and we knew that Tiare would be the perfect choice for our design. She understands Kailua living, the look and feel of what a "Kailua home" should look like. We wanted to keep the vintage feel of the home, but with a modern twist. Tiare's professionalism, attentiveness, creativity and willingness to go the extra mile is all that we could have expected and more. She has a great support team to help solidify the tasks and needs of the design and follow through of completion of said work. Our friends and family ask about our design and we do not hesitate to say that Tiare of Archipelago Home came through for us."

"Wonderful to work with, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Archipelago designed two bathrooms and a craft room in our house. They drafted detailed plans which helped us visualize the materials and colors selected. Worked within our budget and had wonderful design ideas! Materials ordered on time and designers regularly checked on the contractor's work progress. Wonderful to work with; very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Would use them again and highly recommend them to friends and family!

"Archipelago’s talent for creating unique design ideas turned our non-functional kitchen and great room into a Hawaii dream home. Tiare Pinto met with us to develop our thoughts and present ideas to create the perfect kitchen/great room layout, providing functionality and beauty. Each step of the design process went smoothly while incorporating our ideas into the plans as we progressed. It was well worth the cost for a professional design plan considering the vast experience of the design team and their conscientious attention to detail and working within our budget and time frame. The appropriate design layout incorporates the stunning views we have of Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, Hualalai and the magnificent Pacific Ocean. We can watch the whales while dining at our artist-created bar. We finally have our dream kitchen!"

"Archipelago’s talent for creating unique design ideas The Archipelago team does an amazing job in listening to your vision and incorporating your thoughts into their design concept. They are very open to working with what you have and incorporating your existing pieces into their plan. They were always receptive to our comments and had excellent follow through. We were very happy with their results and would highly recommend their services."

"Spot-on recommendations, contacts and knowledge come from long experience. We highly recommend Archipelago Home. It has been an indispensable go-to resource for us in space planning our 4,000 sf house, designing fabulous custom furniture and procuring nearly everything else. From window and floor coverings to outdoor furnishings to wall-sized custom entertainment centers, and bedding accessories, Tiare and her team have done it all.

They've been in the business a long time and this is clear given the spot-on recommendations, contacts and knowledge that come from long experience."
